I have just bought a white sripped maroon clown about a week ago. I just noticed that the sripe by his head is starting to turn yellow he is about 2 to 2 1/2". I want to get a mate for the clown but i dont know if he is a yellow stripped clown fish or a white sripped clown fish.

Post a picture. For what it's worth some Golden stripe Maroon Clowns will start out with White stripe and in time they'll change to yellow. I would give it some time and see if the Clown turns more yellow.
