Should I get a mandarin dragonet?

My friend put a small bowl of sand in his bare bottom tank and the wrasse beds in there.... Just an idea

^ ive heard of that. I believe that a company even makes a ceramic rock like structure for holding sand for sand diving fish in sandless tanks.

I was concerned when I bought my Mandarin, but I witnessed him eating mysis at the LFS. I watched him there for several weeks to make sure he was healthy. My tank maintained a large supply of pods, and I supplement his diet with mysis a few times week. Recently however, I was amazed to see he is eating Marin S pellets that fall to the sand.
