Hi all,

Well the battle with ick has wiped out my whole tank with only one survior (Gold stripe maroon clown). The clow is currently in a hospital tank and is doing well. I'm going to leave the main display tank fallow to till mid october. So here we are again what to restock with is my question. I have a 120gal w/ LR. and a few stragglers of soft and lps corals and BTA.

Option #1: (small size fish inhabitant list)
Flasher Wasse tank
-Blue flasher
-carpenter flasher wrasse
(not sure about this, how many fish would i need to make a decent display, and if they are small it would be dizzying)

Option #2: (large size fish inhabitant list)
-Maroon clown
-(1) Large Angel (med size)(Empor./maje/blueface)
-Marine Betta
-(1)tang: (Naso tang/Sailfin/power blue tang)
-Potters Angel ?
-???

any suggestion would be appriciated.

I would probaly look to NYAquaria to help me stock my tank :)

Peter

Naso Tang is one of my favorite fish, one day I hope to have a big enough tank to get one, so that is my vote Peter.

peter you can stock anthias, wrasse, chromis, a tang or two, a pygmy angel...in a 120. i like small fish. i rather have ten small fish in a tank than 3 or 4 big ones. but that is me. i like variety. best of luck in whatever you choose and from now on soak your food in garlic. i would hate for you to go through the same ick issues again.

Sorry for your loss Peter. If i was able to get another tank and it was FOWLR, i would get the following:

Emperor Angel
Asfur Angel
Regal Angel
Purple Tang
Moorish Idol
Threadfin Butterfly
Golden Butterfly (semivarlartus)
Peppermint Hog

Good luck,
Steven

Steven,

can you put so many large angels together w/o aggression? I would do without the morish idol. They are fantastic looking fish, but heared they have a poor success rate. How long have you had your M.I.?

I don't have experience with large angels but seen it done. I would probably go with two angels around 3 inches.

I had a MI 14 years ago in a 55 gallon, that lived for 6 months (starved to death probably :() There are people on RC that have good luck with them and our very own Michael Stern has one in his FOWLR as well.

Good luck, so many fish, so little space :)

MAjestic Angel. Is my fav. Thats what I would choose. I would not get so many wrassels I would stick to angels and Butterflys very beautiful and you could get a nice mix of different colors.
