I really love my Sixline Wrasse. Hands down my favorite fish in the tank so far. I was wondering if I could add some more wrasses or would I be inviting a death match?

I like the yellow coris wrasse but any other suggestions and feedback as far as compatibility goes would be appreciated. My tank is a 125 gallon reef.

Thanks!

Unfortunately with a sixline you may have a problem adding another wrasse. The sixline doesn't play well with others.

Personally I would remove the sixline and open up your options. You can add a flasher or fairy wrasse.

I was afraid of that. Not sure what to do then because I'm not giving up my sixline.

Six line are usually aggressive towards other wrasses. I started with one and added a melanurus. He bothered the melanurus (which was a lot larger than him) for a while until the melanurus got annoyed and took him out. I now have a melanurus. A yellow corris wrasse. Cleaner wrasse. And a salon fairy wrasse. All behaving well.

Get rid of the six line. You won't regret it. A lot of options open up.

Can't do it, lol. I like watching him swim through my rock work and go at it with my yellow watchman goby. He does constant swimbys of the goby's territory, annoying the crap out of him.
