where from?

skunks are the most sensitive; fire are almost as sensitive, whereas i've transferred peppermints from 1.023 to 1.009 hypo and still live.

i have 1 peppermint living, thriving in 1.009 hypo for 3-4 months so far.

rest of my skunks and fires (and debelius lobster) are in 1.021 only for like 6 mos now.

slow acclimation is most important but so is final temp, pH, and salinity (i know im on the low end but they thrive; i keep low becuz when i travel it goes up)

I actually bought it at a place I swore I wouldn't buy from Animal Kingdom on Staten Island. It tried aquatic obsession but it was closed and my son was busting chops for one. I figured a shrimp would be ok from there. Ya know no ich or anything on shrimp. The fish on the other hand look dreadful. Oh we'll that's the last time I will step foot in that crap hole.

Same thing happened to me a few times with Cleaner Shrimps. I drip acclimated them in a bucket for roughly the same amount of time as you with good tank levels. Then I had a thought. The bucket I was using obviously didn't have a heat source. So even though I was dripping from my 78 deg tank, it wasn't in my bucket. So I think mine/yours may have died from temp shock. Just a theory of course.

That could be it. How would we get around that? Maybe put bag in tank first to acclimate temp for like 30 minutes?

To add, the cleaner shrimp dying usually happens if they been ship a long distance.. i dont think they handle the amox/stress coat shippers and even some LFS like FishTown USA add to the water while bagging to suppress levels.

Ie my previous shipment from SWF all shrimp died during acclimation cuz they flew cross country imo. Shrimp was probably stressed in the LFS and the change in water when it got into a home, was enuf to kill it despite acclimating over an hour.

Shrimps are just sooo fragile; maybe try a peppermint if thats not what the OP is about.

It's probably that with the fact that animal kingdom is probably the worst LFS on the east coast. It amazes me that they stay in business.
