Cryptic Six Line Wrasse

My new addition... hanging out in the frag tank/fuge. She wasn't this colorful at the LFS, but man... the colors are now starting to show. I was doing a little research, and I think it's a female because of the color scheme. Males I believe are more Maroon w/ yellow lines. Females are more Pink w/ orange lines.

This has got to be one of my best impulse buys ever! :shhh: :lol: I know impulse buys are bad, but this one actually worked out.

Don't know how big your tank is, but be VERY careful if you ever try to add more wrasses. 6-lines are MEAN!

i think you are confused. this is a separate breed from the more common sixlines.

liveaquaria has some for sale. i was eyeing them i like their look.

Thanks... it's definitely one of the more peaceful wrasses, and awfully tiny. It's about the size of the first segment of my pinky finger. I plan on keeping it in the fuge until she gets bigger. And yeah... those eyes seem to glow at night. lol

I e-mailed Liveaquaria and they say that their Cryptic Wrasse is just as bright in person. If so, it's even more colorful than mine!
