Black Axil Chromis

Does anyone have experience with this fish. I am assuming the color is more brilliant than a blue/green chromis (viridis). Is it worth the difference in cost?

Yes, they are more colorful, but they shouldnt cost much more than a regular viridis, as they are often caught together.

Well, it was very colorful and active but it died on day 5. A nice soft blue and electric green. Didn't see anything wrong with it but I am fairly sure it was not eating. It moved very fast so it was hard to tell. I did see it pick pods off the glass but I think it did not care for any of my food like Mysis, brineshrimp eggs, garlic flakes, formula2 small pellets. On the last day he was hiding in the rocks and in the afternoon when I fed the fish he came out and swam erratically for a short time and then just laid down and died right then and there. The picture includes the 3 orange striped cardinals I got at the same time. They eat everything.
