So I only have three fish in my tank and for my birthday I wanted to get more fish because I just have mostly corals so my tank is kind of boring so my plan was just to buy tang but I guess you can say I got a little bit over excited and carried away and I bought two other tangs the puple tangs and the Salfin is less then 1 1/12 but I have a powder brown and it is probably 2-3 inches I read info on them and I hear that the powder brown grows pretty fast and plus I need some advise how should I capture the powder and to sell it . Please don't bash this thread and say I'm crazy and I should not have any tangs in a 75 g

lol, I agree... I wouldn't even try to catch a tang using anything other than a net unless it is in a 1 gallon fish bowl. I saw someone at my lfs try... and fail. My 'LFS' is Betals... dry goods are as far as I go

leave the tank in total darkness make shore there is no stray light TV, fuge ect... for several hours, peferably after lights out, return with your net in hand turn all the lights on, and the tang is most likely to drift out disoriented at this time you should be able to net the fish.

If you are going to use a fish trap, dont feed for 2 days prior to ensure they got into the trap for food. Maybe even best leave the trap (open) in the tank for those 2 days so the fish get used to it also.
