My fish got hurt

My fox face got stuck on a power head pump and now he has a nasty looking ring on the side of him.
Do you think he will be ok he seems to be swimming around and not dead

If he's swimming around I'm sure that he'll be fine and the mark will eventually go away.

I hope it scared the hell out of me when he was on there and at first he looked confused and sluggish

Same thing happened with my Hippo Tang. It had the same confused demeanor when I turned it off and it had the ridges on the side it him/her. Went away after a day. No worries.

It was the last area with any hair algae he was most likely grazing there
