where in Manhattan can i buy fish food at a good price, frozen fish food. Squiid,brime shrimp, and so on, food that reef safe wrasse would like

1/4lbs med shrimp..(any will do...shell these)
1 or 2 squid (cleaned)
filet...(any on sale)
nori (sushi paper/wrap)
mysis/brine/cyclo...any or all
tablespoon flake
fish vitamins..

put it in blender/food processor (if ur adding mysis add last then stir it in)with some tank water or ro water, till its a consistancy u need according to the size of ur fish..put in a pan or mini ice cube trays and place in freezer...cut into squares and store...

before any1 posts thr pros and cons...thr r many variations...if u have something better to offer then send pm.

Perhaps we should consider making a group buy of Selco (The "industrial version of Selcon that is not watered down) Great stuff to add to home made fishfood blends.

I will probably try my hand at making a large batch after I get my mysis, some nori and the selco. I have more than my share of the min-cube icecude trays.

well i started the food process and burned a blender already and the process was a true mess. i 'll post some pics tomorrow

so far on the menu

1lbs of oysters
2lbs of strip bass
1lbs of salmon
16 little neck clams
2lbs of shrimp
2lbs of squid
large chunk of mysis
large chunk of frozen cycloopze
large chunk of frozen brime
25 sheets of nori I cut up into small pieces
half jar of the large can dry fish food
2 oz of Kent Garlic Extreme
2 oz of Kent Zoe

i still need some

Zoecon
1 jar of sweet water plankton

you are making a feast for the whole MR to use.:bablefish :tongue1: That's too much stuff you have there. Plus actually you can calculate some of the nutrition value before putting them together. That helps you in the long run to make good food yet save money.
