I have a Misbar Ocellaris Clown Fish for about 2 years (about 2").

I want to pair him with another clown but something different like Platinum or Onyx or Picasso or Snowflake.

Can this be done? Or do I have to get the a similar Misbar Ocellaris if I want to pair them?

U mean the new clown has to be smaller than my existing one?

Also from the "exotic" clowns out there, which would be the best (if any) fit to pair with a Misbar ocelarris?

The issue is one of him or her...

If he is bigger than your other current clown then he is a she.

She clown fish stay a she.

If he's the smaller of two then he could become a she if paired up with a larger he or she

If you introduce a smaller clown then the the larger becomes the she and the smaller one stays a he...

Make sense?

Yup. There is no guarantees with pairing any clowns even of the same kind but good chance. You almost always wan't to introduce the second as smaller. I have a black ice paired with a grade A picasso.

I got my pair from David at Regal Aquarium. I think Pop Coral can order you whatever you want too. Last night I was just checking out Alpha Aquaculture online some really nice wysiwyg clowns but a bit pricey and not sure on shipping. Most come from Sustainable Aquatics or ORA I believe.
