I am looking to add a bit of color and "personality" to my tank... I am considering getting a pair of True Percs (But they would have to be BIG to compete with my Maroon) I am also considering a Blonde (lipstick) naso tang.

Here are the fish I currently have:

Lyretail Anthias (1 male 1 female)
Medium Goldstripe maroon
Scopas Tang
Red Sea Purple Tang
Medium Copperband Butterfly (new addition)

I have a mix of SPS, some LPS and softies... What colorful additions do you think would make a good fit?

BTW: I have a 180... A couple of larger fish would not be a problem.

I have never had luck with clams. I have parasitic worms that snack on clams... I have gone worm hunting for weeks. It would probably take me another month to rid my tank of the pests.

I was always under the impression that all wrasses were not entirely reef safe in that they wipe out all of the micro/macro fauna. (Copepods, etc.) At least that was the popular opinion once upon a time.

I would love to add a couple of fairy/flasher wrasses. AWESOME fish!

Agreed.

Just make sure you don't get the aggressive wrasses. Some wrasse may even help you to fight the parasitic worms.

If you have sand, I would add couple double dot goby, they always stay out cleaning the sand and will stay in a herd most of the time. It's fun watching them doing their work-kind of like watching children playing sand.

I would love to get a few gobies, but I would not be able to sleep at night thinking of my live rock crashing through the front glass if they get to digging out the sand from under the rock.

Which are the best gobies to get that aren't big diggers?

sorry i'm used to hearing about the snails. first time i hear about the worms.

Thats a good thing, you don't want to encounter these worms. They kill clams and snails by secreting a mucus glob of poison then they suck them up like a slurpee....... :)

Okay back on topic, go get some wrasses :)
