Beloved Marine Betta - RIP after 19 years in captivity

Came back home today and noticed a fishy smell coming from my 270 gallon reef tank. There it was, belly up and lifeless in the left corner of my reef. This is one of the few fishes that I have been able to keep this long when I first picked it up from Country Critters about 19 years ago. I had it in my 50 gallon reef before moving it to a 180 and finally the 270 gallon reef. It was about 2.5" long from head to tail and grew to 6".

Thanks for the kind words. I know Terry Siegel had a Tomato Clown for 20+ years and an Achilles Tang for 10+ years. Saw those fishes when he lived in Brooklyn.

I didn't know you knew Terry. He taught me much of what I know about keeping reefs.

I visited alot of well known hobbyist homes from the Brooklyn Aquarium Society when I use to be a member in the mid 90s. Very good learning experience.
