I currently have a couple of fish in my 90 gallon fish only tank. I have yello tang sailfin tang and a coral beauty and two clowns.. Just last night i noticed some dark spots on my sailfin tang. This morning I noticed a brownish looking slime on my yellow tang and sailfin tang. it mostly on the front of their head and on there sides and clue what it could be?

If the Yellow tang has black spots on the body then it could be Black spot disease. Outside of that it could be a funges.

It would help if you posted a picture as everyone would really just be guessing. Also you need to post all your tank spec, readings and what you have in the tank.

yes the fins are frayed what is the stuff on the glass it small and white.

I can't make out what's on the glass, if it's moving it's probably plankton or some sort of pods. If it's not moving it's probably some sort of algae or sponge growing on the glass.

The fish looks like it has ich and a secondard infection. You should remove the fish and treat for ich and the secondard infection. You may also want to check your water quaility as the secondard infection was probably bought around because of it.

Here is a good link on diseases:

how often do you change your water? your fish look very sick. bring your ph up and most certainly bring down your nitrates. do you use RO/DI water? the stuff on the glass looks like diatoms(brown algae)
