Banggai (Kauderns) cardinal

I bought a pair about 6 months ago. They eat everything but lately one became boss and chases the other into a corner where he stays all day except during feeding. As long as there is lots of food they feed ok but as soon as it dwindles one chases the other into the corner. My tank is only 24 gallons and I have 6 fish so I can't add another one. Not sure if I should get rid of one or just leave them as is.

watch them ..you may have two males in which case, in a tank that small, one maybe killed. I had the same problem and I have a much larger tank...
