Hey guys,
On my last order of brine shrimp (I keep a tank of dwarf seahorses so I have to "culture" those), I saw that the place I order from had a new product based on Mysis. I thought it was frozen enriched Mysis, but it is actually large flakes (similar to the New Era vendor products that was at the swap). I gave it a try and it looks like the fish love it. Including my Swissguard bassslets who had never looked at anything dry before.
The only drawback I found is that they tend to float a lot and might end up in the overflow. And of course some of my fish will never want to go to the surface to get food (but they are clearly not used to it)
The food is called "Mysis diet enriched with Selco" and comes from Brine Shrimp Direct in Utah. You can find it here. Apparently you can even order it by 20 pounds. According to the sticker it contains mysis, krill, spirulina, egg, garlic, Selco, ...
So if anyone is looking for a source of food that they can put in a fish feeder, that seems to be a good solution.
