Ok I have had flame angels which are very nice but I want something different. What is the nicest reef safe angel going into a 90 gallon? I like lots of color

The only known angels to be reef safe are the genicanthus angels. Even those have a bad apple every now and then. All other angels are hit or miss. I had a multicolor that didn't touch anything for a few months and then one day was going after everything.

By the way I have a pair of Bellus angels that have been model citizens, unfortunately the Regal in my avatar died, it didn't touch any corals and was eating like a pig at the time. The lemonpeel I took out of the tank it had a taste for corals.

As a rule of thumb, no angel is truly "reef safe"

There are some species as noted above that are less inclined to pick, but if you decide to get one, be prepared to remove it if you're not satisfied.

That being said, I am partial to the Genicanthus species (Lamark, Watanabe, Swallowtail etc).

+100 I would advise against putting any angel in the tank. I got literally the most gorgeous coral beauty I ever saw and it ate a ton of stuff. I know lots of people that have had flames and other small angels and there is always a problem just save yourself the headache and go with different fish.

I was even thinking about a black tang just hope it gets along with the yellow tang

I would only have one tang in that tank, I wouldn't add any others, pick the one you really want. I have a black tang and I wouldn't add any others. Also are you aware of the cost of a black tang? They aren't cheap.
