Hello,

I have a Lamarck male angel I'm trying to get out of my reef. I got him when he was a very small juvenile, about an inch. He is now about 3" and since I know he needs more room I would like to find avbetter home. Tank is currently a 40g breeder, full Sps tank so can really re-arrange to catch him. What's the best trick for catching an angel with minimal damage? I'm in NJ so if anyone has some ideas please let me know.

Thanks

By chance do you have a reef gently AccliMate?? I have used the outer box as a trap. What I do is use the bottom with the slide top on. I place a scraper inside magnet at the bottom of the box and use to outside scraper magnet to hold the box on the side on a tank. I leave the slide top partially open and bait the inside of the box with the targets most liked food. When he swims in just push down on the lid and you got him ! Trick is to not leave the slide top open too much. Might take a few attempts before he feels comfortable enough to enter the box but I have had much success with this method. Good luck, Neil.

Very easy get a trap and feed mysis with a turkey baster feed him in front of the trap and spray some food so it floats inside the trap he will follow the food inside and then u close the trap door on him I have caught at least 20 fish in under 5 mins with this method good luck
