No fish will school in an aquarium. Some will shoal, but it's tough to make that happen in a home tank.

Your tank is pretty stocked as it is, IMO... Especially if the tangs/trigger get larger. I wouldn't add too many more fish. Sorry for the downer post, man. :(

Blue green chromis need to be feed regularly, i've kept them for years. Anthias are beautifull but some are finicky. These were eating and doing well then suddenly started dying one by one. I don't know if my wrasse killed them. One was left doing great until Sandy stroke.

...the best schooling fish in an aquarium are probably cardinals..most anthias are shaoling there is a difference, but the real downer here is with that trigger which will only get nastier.. chromis and cardinals are on the menu....

Cardinals are good
But not enough action with them and usually the healthiest pair will start beating the other ones up

Anthias are beautiful to see but it is going to be a significant addition to your bio load

If you take one of those big fish you have
I would prefer anthias

Hey silvern, I too have a 120. Right now I have three fish all about two inches. I have a clown tang, a tomato clown, and an emporer angel. I'm going to be putting in a queen trigger and a coral hind. I fully anticipate some tension and am ready for a possible casualty, but the fish store would give me garbage if I tried to return him and I can't see people on this website wanting the angel bc he picks at corals. I had a hard time unloading a butterfly fish for the same reason (so I'm not just this cruel dude into carnage).
I have 10 mangroves and caulerpa and chato and a aqua c 120 skimmer.

My question is what kind of water changes are u doing w that bio load and where are ur levels week to week?

The coral hide is most definitely going after the Tomato Clown and smaller fish.

Zoramia leptacantha

Hi

The best schooling or shoaling fish that I have ever seen are Threadfin Cardinals
(ZORAMIA LEPTACANTHA). They do not fight or pick each other off. They actually live together. I also agree with the other comments concerning the trigger. He will get big any these guys would definitely be snacks.....

Hey dre
I do 25 gallons every week sometimes more depending on my nitrates. My cal 420 alk 9 mag 1250
Phos undetectable nitrates 2-5. Ph 8.3-8.4. My problem has always been nitrates just can't keep them down. My skimmer is a bubble magus na7, I use a doser for mag alk and cal. I don't have a refugium only a sump. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't have a trigger or CLOWN TANG he is nasty but I can't catch the clown tang and I'm not ripping apart the tank

not to go off topic, but macros & regular water changes should bring your NO3 down. do you have room in your sump? or get a larger sump - i believe petco is still running $1/gal sale...also, as fish get larger, the additional water volume is better for the increasing bioload.
