damsel shaking

I have 3 damsel in my tank, 2 of them are 3 stripes and the other a 4 stripe. The medium sized one starts shaking when ever he encounters one of the other damsels. Also I've noticed while this rare behaviour is occuring his front black stripe the one covering the face, turns a very light gray, to the point that you can't even tell there's a stripe on there. Then few days pass by and the stripe goes back to normal and he no longer shakes. Then the whole things starts happening all over again after a few days. Is this a sign of mating behaviour or is my fish sick? Water parameters are all good. All of my other fishes are doing great.

They're probably going to lay eggs soon. I have stripe damsels back in the mid 80's and they would do this before they started to lay eggs. They had a grayish dot on their heads, between the eyes, which would change color when they started to get ready to lay eggs.

What can I do to accomodate the process, I've heard that feeding different types of foods are good. It would be nice to try to raise the fry. Is the proccess similar to clowns? Also like clowns, would they lay eggs every so often once they start laying eggs?

They are so much harder to raise than clowns because of their size. They hatch at night and are verrrry small..they become coral food in a reef. When I had my humbugs they would make an egg nest only a few times a year and would defend it very aggressively especially the one on the nest.

Talk about coincidence, I was going to ask a similar question.i have 2 4 stripe damsels and 2 green clown gobys. The damsels constantly shiver against the gobys. I have never witnessed this kind of behaviour before.
