I have three fish in a 120g - a fathead anthias, blonde naso and a borbonius anthias. I noticed recently that the pectoral fins of the borbonius appear frayed. Any ideas? I'm going to test my params in a bit but only the borb is affected. Corals seem fine too.

One thing I've noticed is that the borbonius often rubs up against a hermit crab and follows it around. I wonder if it's trying to get cleaned or has formed some sort or attachment. I'm suspicious that the hermit may be the offender.

I've had my borb for three years, and we are just finishing its third try at dying. Each time it stops eating, hides in the rockwork, becomes pale, shows some raggedness in its fins and once, even spent 4 days lying on its side sort of gasping. After a week of this it takes one mysis shrimp, then a pellet the next day, then two shrimp on the third...etc. Then, it is fine. I know that one day it will complete the effort, but for now I just mark it down to some kind of cycle that I don't understand.
