I'm new to the forum and I don't want to spam my LFS with all these questions I have so with that being said I thought maybe you guys could help me out.

I have just recently started a 40g breeder.

50lbs of live rock
35 lbs of sand

1 clownfish (very small)
1 firefish (adult size)
and a copperband I've had in my tank for 2 weeks.

I know copperbands aren't recommended to new reefers as they are hard to feed however after doing some research and stuff this guy now eats anything I feed him however I feel as though he's very territorial.

Every time my firefish comes out to poke his head out the dart hole the ccb swims up to it and he runs back into his hole.

My clownfish that used to swim all over the tank now just swims in one spot underneath a rock.

I thought these guys were "peaceful" however from how my fish are acting that doesn't seem to be the case. Does anybody else have exp with keeping these guys? Are they territorial??

For your first post you shopuld have explained what type of expierence you have in salt water and exactly what you system is made up of and how long its been up. Copperbands to my knowledge are peaceful but im sure being in a 40 it might be stressed. It is not a good fish for a beginner especially in a 40. Good luck with him
