I have a earmuff wrasse that is the most beautiful wrasse I have ever seen !
Problem is he loves the sand and creates lots of sandstorms which it seems has raised my nuisance algae / nutrients in my tank which is an spas tank that I try very hard too keep water crystal clear ! This wrasse is also large and eats a lot !

I've been trying too catch this guy for a few weeks but havnt had any luck

Is the sand storm hurting my tank and increasing my nutrients ?
Should I get the wrasse out??

You can do one of 2 things...

Take out the wrasse, but you will still have those nutrients in your sandbed :(

Leave the wrasse, let him do his thing and turn over your sand bed for you and address the nutrient issue with more frequent changes of the carbon & GFO and water changes and then you get to keep the great wrasse and have a beautiful tank too :)

No. Stirring up the sand can sometimes be beneficial for SPS as it sends bacteria and microfauna into the water column which will become food for your sticks.

The only possible case I can imagine is that the wrasse is sending pores of nuisance algae you already have in your tank and spread them around. But I don't see how it should add nutrients that you don't already have.

Keep the wrasse, it's a beautiful fish. Unless you insist, than I'll have first dibs. =)

Matt my monster Melanurus does the same thing along with all the other wrasses which are starting to get almost as large....I don't have a problem with the sandstorm they create, which as mentioned I find beneficial for feeding the corals etc..., but the main problem is they all like to bury under all the sand dwelling corals like my zoas, goni, war, acans etc...just knocking them over or burying them.
