I have a 3 stripe damsel that is attacking all my fish so i need to get it out. If i put the net in he goes hiding where my net cant reach. Taking out my rocks and corals is not an option. Does anyone have a good method to catch damsels?

Don't feed for a few days and use a hook.

Good luck! You'll be dumping your rocks out when you finally realize you'll never get him. Rule number 1 is never put a damsel in your tank. Your no option will soon be a reality. Just think of it as a learning experience and a chance to reaquascape. You may even need to bring the water Level down to get him, depending on what size your tank is. There's a reason they call them damsels.

Don't mean to hijack but i have the same issue. I want to remove my damsel too. He's a little aggressive towards the firefish but it looks like their relationship is getting better. I still kind of want to take him out though just because he hides so much.

I got some dry rocks that I want to add to the tank... Should I just use this oppurtunity to reaquascape and take him out?

Has anybody had success with with mature damsels and other fish in a 14 gallon?

I had a blue damsel and could get that mofo out, didn't wanna take my rocks out either but had no choice, I went to the extreme and tried spear hunting him and still couldn't get him, long story short, don't put a damsel in ur tank

Not unless you are putting an angler fish in the tank and the damsel is named lunch!

If you have t5 lighting, you can try blinding it at night.
If you see the fish out when it's dark just blast the light on an it will be blind for a few minutes, then just net it.
I've caught a few this way.
