to my own experience, all shrimps are easy to each others except the coral banded shrimp. they chase a bit as long as you have space for them to set up their home. for display purposes, fire shrimp is nice since it is in bright red. cleaning purpose, cleaner shrimp is better. either way, they are both looking goodin display tank. I prefer cleaner shrimp due to cleaning purpose and display purpose.

I had 2 juvenile cleaner shrimp and after 2 weeks or so, one would run to my acans and rip it open to get the food out after feeding. The second one started doing the same after a few days. I adequately fed them both but got tired of watching them damage my acans so I sold them. (with disclaimer) Got a red fire shrimp a few weeks ago and so far he's been good, staying in one corner of the tank and picking the rocks there.

+1 my cleaner AND my pepermint shrimps used to do that but my blood red (fire) shrimp never did. i hated my shrimps when they did this to my acans and other corals. even when i would try to spot feed my corals i hgad to fight them damn shrimps off. i was ready to ship them to red lobster lol

+2 on the cleaner shrimp, they are notorious for ripping food out of my acans and my fungia plate corals. Looking to get rid of them when I setup the new tank. My fire shrimps have better etiquettes when it's feeding time.
