I saw my naso tang this morning lying belly up. Sad, he was eating like a pig. But yesterday, he was like hiding and just cruising around. Not eating. The only fish that I added was a a small 6 line wrasse. And the bad part is, my moorish idol isn't eating too. Checked my tank for possible spikes, all are within normal. No3 is at 5 ppm. Nitrite 0. Ammonia is at 0.
The only thing new is the salt mix. I was switching from Dd h2ocean to red sea. Did a 20% water change last sat night.
Anybody experienced this?

Each salt changes the composition of the water. Check the pH of the new salt when freshly mixed. Also, not sure if alkalinity affects fish but I'm pretty sure h2ocean mixes like NSW 7dkh and many salts like Redsea mix high at 9-11dkh.

Where they any marks on the Naso or Moorish Idol? It's possible that the 6 line wrasse may of had something, which could have cause the Naso to die and the Moorish Idol to stop eating. Also, Naso can and do stress out very easy. Changing conditions could have caused it to stress out, and then die all of a sudden, it happens quite a bite.

No marks at all. I thought it might be an internal parasite. Just remembered, the eyes of the naso got a white line on the bottom eye lid.
