So I'm looking to get a few more wrasses and am slightly concerned about jumping. I have a Female Leopard wrasse that has been in the tank for a month. Everything seems fine with her. Im looking to add a Hooded Fairy and a Mystery Wrasse. I saw them listed as jumpers. Anyone have experience with these two types jumping? I have a rimless tank and really want to avoid putting up a mesh top.

Agreed...matter of time.

For what its worth, kathyc makes a great tank cover! She does a quality job, great design, and has fair prices.

She is often back logged though, send her a pm and ask.

I've had to give up on wrasses, as much as I love them. My tank is covered, only a small strip of about an inch in the back that is uncovered in places, but eventually, EVERY one of my wrasses has jumped. Sometimes in their first month with me, sometimes after well over a year. But eventually, they all make that leap to that dusty, salt encrusted carpet.

I had a Flame Wrasse that found a 1" opening in the clear mesh cover and it jumped out of the tank. You'll need to really secure all openings including tiny ones if you want to get any wrasses.

Clear Mesh is not a good idea. I tried it, but it reflects to much light.

Edit:
Apparently, some ppl use clear netting with no glare issues. I must have used a thicker gauge netting.
