Aggressive cleaner shrimps ????

Didn't know where to put this.....mods please move if wrong ...
But I have two cleaner shrimps and I bought another one and put him in the tank and no more then a day before they were chomping on him
:-(
Sooo I tought maybe he was sick and they voted him off the island

I waited a week and got another cleaner shrimp and walla I catch the two, what I call now KILLER SHRIMP eating it :-/
What the hell is going on ???? Is it me do I get crazy fish/inverts
I also have to fire fish that still can't stand each other in a 90g :-/ they flare at each other like a betta fish would....

Shrimps usually get along with anything but themselves (Hit or miss). Cleaner shrimps are usually the more peaceful variety but still will get into quarrels when competition is fierce. I have a cleaner shrimp and a fire shrimp, the fire always fights with the cleaner for food and space.

I know that's the weird part :-/ and I feed my aquarium twice a Day... So they can't be that hungry ........... Flakes early in the day and frozen food in the evening.

Shoot. Even the hermit crabs are koo koo they killed all my snails (the ones with the black shell were the tips look metallic) and didn't even take the shells ..........IDK

They're voracious scavengers, if theres food they'll fight for it regardless if they're hungry.

What got me going was that I recently went to a member house and he had like seven in a tank 3 cleaner shrimp and 4 blood red shrimp or something like that, and I loved the way it looked with all the shrimps ... but I guess my two claimed the 90g for them ........ Or maybe I'll get a coral banded shrimp and see how they like it ;-)

if you had two in there and they were settled adding anymore will more then likely end up in the new addition being killed off, i found this out the hard way, as i had two for almost 2 years and got a good price on 2 more, and they lasted about 30 sec before other hunted them down

Yeah it sure seems that way, I just didn't think these shrimps were like that....lol...... But they do check everything I do when I put my hands in the tank ... I'm not done and they jumping all over my hand and what ever I put in there .... I think that's why I love them Lowe & hardy

Don't get coral banded shrimp, it will also eat small fish(even same size as them) and smaller shrimps. A member gave me one years back which ate my pepermint shrimps and frequently launed on smaller fish in the day and sneak attack them at night.
