I have a 40g cube (24x24x16) and im not sure is 4 t5s are enough. im looking at a 24 inch 4x24W Sunlight Supply Tek Light High Output Fluorescent Lighting Fixture.

I wanna be keeping some LPS, maybe a carpet nem, and maybe a very few SPS (montis). Is four enough?

was going to run 2x 10k 1x 420nm, and 1x 450nm

4 is enough as long as you keep any sticks towards the top. With what you want to keep and the depth of the tank, I'd say it's fine. For my own tank of 29 gallon, because I have sticks, I wish I had 6 bulbs. I miss my mh + t5.

Damn, for that price, you should've just went LEDs...

I dont want to be bothered putting together a LED system. and all the ones on the market are A LOT more than $400. Plus, I know T5 so I stuck with it.

I already got the bulbs. All giesmann.

3x AB+ 10k
2x Act+ 450nm
1x Pure Act 420nm

I ran all for the day, 450s and 420 for dawn, dusk. I might pick up LEDs for night.

That is the same combo I used on my 90g and was happy with it.

Only thing that suck is I have to hang this fixture, and im pretty sure with me doing it by myself it wont be straight, haha. Im going to use toggle bolts.

Did you hang the fixture yet? I'm trying to figure out how to hang my sunpower.. Only issue is that I can't drill any holes in the wall or ceiling

I drilled in the ceiling with a toggle bolt.

Like I said in another thread, the ATI hardware is in metric. Small but annoying issue.

I think they sell those stands for the hanging lights that arch over the tank. Other than that, I dunno.
