Aquarium Stands Question

Just wondering, anybody have any experience with MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) vs. Real Wood Aquarium Stands.....

I'm in the market for a new 36x18 Aquarium Stand, just wanted to see what peoples' experiences was with each.

The MDF stands, like the one on petsolutions, $100 bucks... powder-coated.

There are OAK and PINE stands, $200+

Which would be more soundproof?

i had both and its worth to spend the extra $100. those mdf gets water and it bubbles up and starts to come apart...you pay for what you get!

MDF is not water tolerant at all. Probably fine for reptiles but never for aquariums. Try the marketplace and get one used if you want to keep price down.
