Neptune apex

I am trying to set up my apex controller with the internet connection. Do I need to run a ethernet cable from the controller to my router or can this be done wireless like a laptop? I am asking just because my router is on the second floor of my house and I will need a really long cable then.

Can be done wirelessly. You will need a wireless gaming adapter like a PS3 or Xbox uses.

can be done wirelessly but scetchy at best for reliability. Do not use laptop, will always need to leave on. I ended up hardwiring after wireless attempt. Had to keep unplugging adaptor to reset. bought cheap ethernet 75 ft from monoprice.com for around 10 dollars. Now absolutely no issues. Good luck.

Yea, the Apex for some result are quite slow sending out data. Wireless would make it even worst. I got my ethernet cables from newegg and they cost about $10-$20 for some 50-100'.

I used a gaming adapter and had the same issue of unplugging the adapter to reset many times. (almost every other day) Then I got a Linksys wireless router and flashed it into a repeater and plugged in the Apex into the repeater (its basically a larger gaming adapter, except it also extends your wireless network so you get a better signal for other devices)
Works great now, and never need a reset
