Koralias for my 90

I'm used to the Vortechs and Tunzes as far as flow is concerned.. not a whole lot of experience with the Koralia line.. That being said, what model of the newer Evolution models should I go with? I'd like to have two.. thinking either the 1050's or 1400's

FOWLR tank so I just need enough to circulate the water and keep detritus in suspension. Thanks.

I would go with whatever unit is equal to the old #3
One at each end should be fine.

hydor Koralia 4 = 1400 evo

id say 2 evolution 1050. i would say top left, top right. and maybe a evolution 2 or 3 for behind the rock work depending on how much rock you do...

Thanks. Looks like two of the 1050's will be fine for now. If I need another I can always add one. They're not too expensive.

..Nothing against vortechs. I would love a set of MP40w's for the 90, but honestly..that's $900 I could definitely use in other places (non-fish related) right now, especially since the pay cut. Plus, it's a FOWLR so Koralias will be just fine, for me (and my fish) at least..

You could also consider Modded MJ 1200's

I'm using Koralia E-Bay knock offs in my 90 before anyone else jumps on me about that they do work very well and move alot of water. They're rated at 1300 but I'm sure they're more like the 1050s Koralia makes so I'd go with that.

E I have that korilla I took out of my tank I need a Mai jet or something similar to feed my ca reactor if u wanna trade if u don't have one just come by it's urs for free

I use modded MJ1200s..I had two on my 90 which was plenty of flow 2100gph ea..I have four on my 170 now on a wave maker....

Thanks for the advice everyone. I used to have modded Maxi Jets, but would rather go the Koralia route this time. They're a little bit more expensive, but not by much.

Evolutions on a RedSea wave maker no complaints... I like them you.My new MP40 should be here today so we will see....

There is no comparison to the mp40 but if on budget the korilla will work just fine

The koralia 3's should be enough for sure, I had 2 of them on my 90 top left and right...and a modded mj 1200 behind my rock and it was perfect...
