Can anybody give me their opinion on the tunze DOC skimmer? I looked it up and it got many mixed reviews. The one I'm going for is these kinds

Does anyone know if the tunze DOC 9005 is a real skimmer? I found it on aquacave and yet I can't find it on any website, even the TUNZE website itself doesn't have it. Cause if it is, it is cheaper and the maximum gallon rating would still be good for my tank.

I have a 9010 on my 120 and love it, once dialed in I haven't needed to mess with it. With the riser tube in place you only have to worry about the skimmer being in to deep of water not messing with water levels. The 9005 was replaced with the 9006 so that might be why you couldn't find it.

Ahh that makes sense. When did this line of skimmers start being produced?
Also, does the small footprint affect the amount and quality of the skimmage? I don't want to have less efficient of a skimmer just for saved space.

I'd say at least a year ago maybe longer.
Skimmage has always been consistent and nasty for me...a few pics...
