going with led's

i am thinking of doing the leap into led's i have seen alot of lights out there but three stand out the acan vertex illumination and the aqua illumination does anyone use one of these fixtures and how do u like it ??

i was looking at the 24" sol super blue x2 for my 90 so there will be two modules mounted long ways over the tank will that be enough light ???

You can go with 2 mounted the long way, if it isn't enough it's easy enough to add a third.

Personally I would wait until they develop some sort of track record. AI is a proven quality piece and made right here in the good old U S of A.

the only thing and its a novelty is the storm mode on the other lights they are built in on the ai i would need a different controller would the profilux II work ??

you should look into the new models of Pacific Sun fixtures that are coming out. I just got my Black Pythons and I love them!

The AI's controller/software has thunderstorms. I believe you need a laptop/PC for the reeftech and if you want to control them wirelessly you have to purchase an additional module.

ok after everyones advice and all day looking at lights on the internet i think im goin with the ai units with the controller that comes with the units you can do alot i didnt think u can do thunder storms also so for the price im gonna go with the sol super blue 24" 2 modules hang them length wise about 10 inches above the tank and i should be good right

I just put acan leds on my 120 and i love them there are really powerful and great color, and they are great guys over there i had a problem with one of my lights and they shipped me a new one same day
