What's the difference with Cree XP-E and XR-E in the 3W Royal Blue LEDs?

Difference between Cree XP-G R5, XP-G and MC-E 3W Cool White LEDs?

i originally bought xr-e's for my leds then i read that the new xp-e's gave like 20% more lux or something so i just returned them and got the xp-e's im not sure about the xp-g's though i have them but not the r-5's.
