I can't find anything to say they run at 2watts apiece, Everything says 3 watts on it. One of these strips are equivelent to 2 ATI Blue plus bulbs. But I believe there is a 420nm and a 460nm, the 460 being a more purple color. I think I got a 460 and not a 420 as it was marked 420. I will take some pics later, I need to clean the glass. Also when the LED strip is on my itself the fish bug out and start running into everything, I no longer run it by itself anymore.

48" = 24 leds

36" = 18

24" = 12

They are a 3 watt led being run at 2 watts to insure proper life tine and color spectrum of the leds.

Hope this helps.

Russ

I contacted Reefbrite and they told me they run at 3watts but I did look at the packaging and the adapter/driver box is labled as a 24v 40watt box. Which would work for the 3 watt you said, but the bulbs would be 54watts at 3 watts apiece. Regardless if they run at 2 or 3 watts they are way brighter than the other strips I have seen. The 40 watt adapter is for the 36"/30" and 24" strips. And on the plus side of the Reefbrites you can change the angle of the fixture with the mounting hardware it comes with. Instead of just being stuck with one direction like the others the reefbrite can swievel.
