Looks like a great deal. I just ordered a RKL package 3 for $269 from BRS. If you don't need the outlets marinedepot's special is a better deal. It's too late for me already shipped.

For RKL to have the salinity option, you'll need the RKM-SL2 module, not the RKM-SL1 that's in that bundle. RKM-SL1 will give you ORP, and not salinity. DA has been struggling with their Cond./Salinity probe for the past year. I bought an SL2 and a salinity probe last year, and it has not worked. As of last week, DA is entering final production stages of their "fixed" probes. I'll be RMAing for one...

IMO, consider the Neptune Apex...

Even for these simple options you feel the Apex which is about 300 more is the way to go?
I am only really interested in the simple feature of duel ph probes the temp probe and I just recently heard of salinity probes and that sounded cool I don't need text messages or internet readings(although very cool).
Would you still recommend the 500 dollar controller vs this deal at 170?

Absolutely 100% agree

Not trying to sell, just as an endorsement to Steve's comment (Widdy) even if you look at our site, you won't even see the DA Conductivity Probe. They sell them, but we won't even carry them they are so bad. He's also correct about the SL1 (pH, ORP) vs. SL2 (pH, Cond.).

Neptune is a better unit for what you're looking for it to do.

I understand $330 is a fairly significant delta. But if it's your first and last line for your aquarium's health, that's negligible savings. And to top off, with the customer service or the lack of (you can find a recent thread on DA's CS), the $330 will start to dwindle fast.

If it helps, get in touch with Jim/Russ of Saltwater Critters, they have/had a layaway plan system you might qualify for... just to lighten the upfront cost, if needed.

D1J8Z, I don't know much about the Apex (I have the RKL personally).. but I did research both quite a bit when I bought the RKL a while back.. The main reason I went with the DA version was b/c it's much easier to program.

If the conductivity probe was an absolute must have for you, it would be an easier decision (in my opinion) however you said it was a bonus, so to me the ease of control and cheaper price are two advantages of the RKL package.
