I think thats over kill go with the BM NAC8 that would be fine and cheaper

Overkill? I thought normally they're rated like half of the bioload ?

Are they good skimmers?

yes there good skimmer i have the BM NAC7. And it goes by bio load if your just going to have lps then that skimmer it to much if your going to have SPS tank then that will be fine

Lps, softies, 3 tangs and a good amount of fish.

I want to make sure it can handle it all, price wise do you think for the extra $100 I'm better off with the 220?
