tap water @ 139 into first sediment filter then into the carbon filter out at 131 then into the membrane out at 5, into the DI filter out at 17 into the inline final stage DI filter out at 33.
Maybe my TDS is out of whack,
how do you measure the tds at each juncture?
the sediment filter doesn't really do much, neither does the carbon filter, most of the work is done by the membrane.....
what gpd is that membrane and its rejection rate?
for example-- 131 pre membrane going through a 75 gpd filmtech membrane with 98% rejection rate should have about 3 (131x.02) so 5 is not too far off.
now what do not make sense are your post di numbers....the di should make the reading zero....especially dual di's. but you have each di unit adding to the tds????
not familiar with the di units you have there but that may be an area to investigate.
btw inline tds meter and handheld model are supposed to be calibrated a little differently but their final values have about +/-10% difference---post membrane numbers of 4.5 and 5.5 are really that significant pre di.
i would
1. calibrate the tds meter/meters- if the number post di is still not zero then
2. check with another tds meter (borrow one and recalibrate it)-- your tds meter/meters may need replacement. if that is not the problem then
3. clean and reassemble di units- if that still yield a positive finding then
4. get a new one and buy you wife a new pair of shoes of equivalent value.....lol.
Also, why spend 550$ for the spectrapure when air water ice and bulkreef both have them for less than half that and built better?
+1
gl finding the culprit.
