I have a 55 gallon reef tank that is 48 inches long.

I have HOB skimmer in back of tank, along with overflow box. Maximum width of lighting would be about 10 inches and maybe pushing 12 inches.

I presently have an Aquatinics MH/T5 setup. Works great, but I want to switch this for a 6 bulb T5 unit that I can hang.

1) I am having difficulty finding vendors that have a T5 unit for 6 bulbs, 4 foot fixture that is maximum of 10 to 12 inches wide?

Any suggestions?

PS. What are your thoughts about going with a 4 bulb T5 unit instead. My tank is mainly for SPS, LPS and clams.

My present fixture is 8.5 inches wide, so it fits with room. I just want to go with a more sleeker unit of T5 bulbs. I would go with a LED Unit, but the prices for ones that are programmable seem very high.

Your thoughts.

PS. No do it yourself.

Thank you,

E,

Not really looking for an Aquatinics. I want a more modern slimmer T5 unit.

Batt,

As per the website, I am finding it difficult to find a 6 bulb T5 four foot unit. Does anybody have knowledge of a maximum 10 inch wide fixture. Not just a website that sells a number of fixtures.

Thank you,

So far it looks like my only option for 6 bulb T5 unit 48 inch length, is going with a Nova extreme pro that has dimension of 48 X 12.

Does anybody else have a 6 bulb T5 that is 10 or 12 inch wide?

look at ATI fixtures they are very modern looking and have individual reflectors , i think that's important if you gonna keep corals in there, i have ATI sunpower hanging over my 55 g tank and i love it.
