I got this protein skimmer when I bought my tank. Its a Kent Nautilus Turbo Educator SKimmer and it came with a Mag 7 like suggested. Just wondering if anyone has any reviews from using one or anything. If I should plan on getting a new one or if this one will do the job.

I have a 75 gal fowlr as of right now, with 130 lbs of live rock and a 30 gal long as a sump. Thank you for any input.

Heres a link with some info about it...

I have one that I got with a used system. I think they are way over rated by the manufacturer. The one I have is rated for tanks up to 600 gallons. Having said that, the skimmer does work pretty well. I used it in a 100 gallon tank in which I was curing live rock. It pulled plenty of thick skimmate, didnt require much fussing with and was pretty stable. I would guess that you would be safe using it on a tank of half its rated capacity with no problem.

I have a large system, and have upgraded to a much larger skimmer. The nautilus is listed for sale on this site now.

my friend has it on his 140g. he bought it new about a year ago. he is still using it and loves it. kinda bulky, but thats about it for cons. its not any where near the best, but will do your tank fine. even if u upgrade. i would just not use it on a 200g+ tank. im sure u will like it

What did you hate about it? what size tank was it on? and was there anything if at all you liked about it?

One it was a pain to ajust the ajuster tube never stayed up alway droped down and a ton of mirco bubble in tank and really didnt pull much out of the tank at all . I had a red sea berlen skimmer before i bought that skimmer and the red sea performed better then then the kent did . I had it on a 75g. There was nothing i liked about that skimmer at all a waste of money.
