Reef octopus leak... PLEASE HELP

Hey. So I decided to upgrade my sump with a 55 gallon tank. After screwing up the baffles, I finally got everything hooked up and water running. Then I noticed water leaking out of my reef octopus skimmer. I tightened the hell out of it, but it still seems to be leaking. Does anyone have ANY ideas? I was going to try and put it in the sump, but I don't have enough room under the sump or behind the tank. The part that's leaking is the joint underneath the red ball valve. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

is it leaking from the threads if so i had the same problem buy some teflon tape the softer one is better

do you have a black o ring on that union because i don,t see one in the picture

Black O ring? I'll have to look and see if it's seated in there. I bought the unit from C-Biscuit. Not sure if there is one. Thanks.

Ok. I took the valve apart and it seems like I only have one O ring. Are there supposed to be two?

U should have a o ring on both ends of valve. also don't over tighten. o ring will crimp and not seat right'

Ok. Any idea what vendor would sell the O rings? I've been looking all over and can't seem to find them.

that's probably a hard o ring to find but try local plumbing stores near you and also check out home depot and lowes open the union valves that they have in stock and see if u get lucky.also you can check out some electrical supply stores

Damn. I was afraid of that. I may as well just take the beams out behind the tank and make it an in sump skimmer. I'll try the hardware and plumbing stores first. Thanks for everything.
