There are alot of LED's on the market now, I think you can get a better fixture cheaper if you look around a little more.

The other question I have for you was about reefgeek. Didn't they go out of business?

I purchased one AI unit and I was under impressed. The Unit is very directional no outward spread. It is very powerful and will bleach out corals which is a good sign and has a very good controller for color temperature, however has no UV which I have notices is what gives SPS those bright colors. So the amount of units needed to cover a 60” spread might be more then what AI is saying and is questionable about how the corals will look under it. If you are really looking at LED’s I would wait and see what Acan lighting does with their next generation of lights. I am hearing they will add UV bulbs to the new units or see what Felix will do with his Pacific Sun LED lighting. They look to be the best ones out there to date however I have concern with Felix not having them in stock. How will he work the warranties?

I think you're confusing ReefGeek with DIY Reef, plus there are other vendors who carry the AI product line I believe.

jerl77 this is another great reason to stop by the next LIRA meeting, James has a good 6 or 7 LED setups you can compare and this includes the AI fixture you're looking at.
