how long should you trust your return pump? mine is probably around 6-7 years old. its a mag drive 7. i am going to replace it because i noticed when i turned my pump off to feed my corals and pluged the pump back in, it did not start up until i lifted it out of the water then dropped it back it. after i put it back in the sump it got suction and started up. i did it alot and cleaned it as well and ect. and it still does it the same problem so im going to just replace it. but just for future refrence, how often are you suppost to replace it? or just wait til its close to crapping out?
