Calibrating temperature probes

What thermometers are people using to calibrate their temperature probes?

Just tested mine with an oxo digital cooking thermometer and I was over 2 degrees off. I've also had my Apex up and running for 3 years and never calibrated my temp before.

i use more than one to make sure. Fever thermometer, cooking thermometer, whatever. If they'r both the same it's pretty likely they'r right.

Also can try putting into ice water for 0 C.

I use 3 different thermometers and then used the average of them. I got the idea from a BRS video.
