In my older mp40. I noticed I've been running it for long time in a thicker glass spacer setting. I now adjusted to a 1/4"thickness for my 75g. It's a slave to a newer mp40wes....in reef crest variable flow (orange)mode. In some speeds it gives a squeaky squeaky sound. I restarted and that usually helps. Now today i cleaned the wet side, restarted and the propeller seems to spin slower than the outer pump. ...seems like slipping. Could it be I've over tightened the nut? That must be only hand tightened always right? I normally get the $20 prop washer pack every year. Is it time for a new wet side?
