solenoid valve for skimmer

hey, what solenoid valves are you guys running for your skimmers with the APEX ? looking for a good quality upgrade to my system. Never messed around with solenoids yet seems pretty straight forward however i can only find ones large enough for RO tubing

Why would you use a solenoid with your skimmer?

Add float switches to the collection cup and then the apex tells it to close the valve when it is full until I empty it. I run my whole system off one pan world pump. My whole system only pulls 3 amps because of this setup method.

A solenoid valve in 3/4 or 1 inch that's salt water safe, can handle the pumps pressure and designed to stay on could get expensive.

Found these solenoids, one's not that bad but the Hayward is expensive.

Can u just set it a bit below top and if float is triggered have apex just cut power to skimmer? That's what I was thinking for mine ?

I'd do that if my whole setup wasn't ran off one massive pump to keep energy cost down and heat
