Solenoid Not Closing

My solenoid is not closing when power is shut off, meaning I have a continuous flow of CO2 going into my reactor. I've managed to get it balanced at the right Ph, through the bubble counter and dialing in the effluent.

Anyone know what I need to do to get it working again? Open it up and clean it out?

What should I clean it with? And should it be greased with anything afterwards?

it gets oxidized on the seat where it seals. take it apart and clean with fine scotch brite or steel wool etc and vinegar.
