did you change anything related to the pump or the output location from the chiller, is there flow coming out of the chiller?
also, did you vent the chiller chamber? maybe there is a large air pocket in there affecting the temp probe? of you have this hooked up with flex pvc lines can you tip the unit to the side to try and get air disloged?

what temp setting do you have on the chiller? not what it it reading, but what is it set at?

the location is completey new and yes there is flow coming out the chiller there is no air that i can tell i can't tip the chiller due to it being Hard pvc'd into my return manifold but I'm still confused as to how it could read one minute correctly then switch and drop and it is still dropping in temp

i have it set to 74 with a plus 2 deg swing so it will cut on at 76 but thats not the problem the problem is the display showing the wrong temp so with the current display the chiller will never cut on ggggrrrrrrr

how about you just adjusting for the wrong temp on the chiller?

this is what I would do:

set it way high so it wont turn on and let the display tank run for 15-20 minutes then look at what the chiller is reading. test the water temp on your thank. compare it to your tank.
if your tank reads 80 and your chiller says 72
(and)
you want your tank to be 76, then drop the chiller setting by 4 degrees

keep checking your tank temp for a few hours to see if the settings work

Your best bet is to compensate for the difference in reading but you must make sure that it is constantly off by that 6 deg so keep monitoring..... It would also help if you had a controller as a backup, incase if the chiller's temp display decides to read correct

yeah i already thought of that i have it plugged into my RKL just in case it drops the temp too low it will cut the power to it but i just set the heater part to 0 and the display is now closer to the correct temp wierd
