Mrc mr1 skimmer reviews?

Doesn't anyone use the MRC MR1 proteins skimmer? Have a chance to get it for my 120 gallon tank and plan on using it in my sump refugium. Seems like a great price. Any input would help. I'm new the site snd this is my first salt water tank i'll be setting up. Did freshwater tanks for a few years now and want a new setup

just found out that this skimmer can not be used in a sump?its external only. i guess ill keep looking

not true it can be used internal...I ran my MRC QR2 dual beckett in sump for many years for two reasons ..the first is it sometimes leaked from the QR and two I didn't want to drill another hole for an external pump.
